I’m torn: — Strategic ambiguity is probably obsolete, shifting to a clearer statement of America’s policy makes sense. — Doing defense commitments on the fly like this has some inherent credibility issues, would like to see bipartisan congressional leadership brought in.

If they can negotiate talks between Saudi and Iran and between Israel and Iran, that would be the biggest deal. Get some kind of long-term detente between those countries, and the whole region suddenly stops being the Land of War.
